'Devon' Stave Basket
This little wooden basket is inspired by the traditional Devon stave baskets but made in my own style using reclaimed wood and an oiled & waxed finish to bring out the patina.
The handle & banding are carved from steam bent ash, the staves are thin elm backboards reclaimed from a very old corner cupboard with the base in reclaimed cherry.
Hand forged rose head nails hold it together in keeping with the age of the wood.
